Arkansas Municipal Equipment (AME) was founded in 2014 by Daniel and Vannessa Ellison, built on a deep-rooted passion for the refuse and recycling industry. Daniel’s journey in this field began in 1997 in Missouri, where he was born and raised. He started working for a family-owned company, learning the business from the ground up—loading and unloading containers and carts, handling service calls, and eventually moving into the parts department, truck deliveries, and equipment demos.
In 2000, Daniel transitioned into sales, taking a position in Arkansas where he continued working in the industry until 2010. After a brief shift to the corporate world, he quickly realized that refuse and recycling equipment was in his blood. He returned to the industry, selling equipment and building strong relationships with customers who became like family.
Determined to create something of his own, Daniel and Vannessa launched Arkansas Municipal Equipment in 2014. In the early years, Daniel ran the business single-handedly, with the unwavering support of his wife and three children. Through hard work and dedication, AME grew from a one-man operation to a thriving company with a team of sales specialists, parts managers, mechanics, and administrative staff.
Today, AME is a trusted provider of top-quality refuse and recycling equipment, offering unparalleled service and expertise to municipalities and businesses across Arkansas. Licensed, insured, and bonded, AME stocks parts in-house and has the tools and personnel to handle sales, parts orders, service calls, and warranty issues. At its core, AME is built on relationships—valuing every customer like family and ensuring they receive the best equipment solutions to keep their operations running smoothly.
"I feel my success in the business stems from my knowledge. I have worked in all aspects of equipment sales, and I know the importance of getting things taken care of in a timely manner—the right way." – Daniel Ellison
